Mount Union All American Derek Blanchard signs with SportsLoop 4/2/2008 Derek is an athletic, hard nosed guard. Derek has played mostly left guard but can play center and he served as Mount Union¡¦s back-up center. Throughout his career, Derek has excelled in his performance on the field. As you can see by the long list of accomplishments below, Derek is not only an outstanding football player, but a leader on and off of the field. He is an excellent run blocker, physically strong and extremely athletic.
